Chromium Mine

Fimar Metallic Mining facility was founded on a land of 388 hectares in Kangal district of Sivas province in 2018. The facility operates 24 hours a day produces 1,500 tonnes of chromium every day with a workforce of 75 strong
In the chromium production processes of Fimar Metallic Mining Company, run of mine is reduced to 16 mm. One millimetre size material is transformed into 500 micron material by use of fingered bars and after classification in hydrosizers, it is enriched by way of specific gravity difference on vibration tables. The concentrate produced on the dehydration table becomes ready to sell with a clean surface. The run of mine of 3 to 5 % is enriched to pure chromium of 44 to 48%. The facility with press filters is environment-friendly. Wastes are indurated through drying in order to eliminate environmental risks. The 800 m3 of facility water is continuously used thanks to the recycling units, which both eliminates waste water and minimises water consumption.
Most of the 44 to 48% pure chromium ore produced through the enrichment processes is exported and an important contribution is made to the foreign exchange balance of the country.
